The Chapel

We loved our stay, the forest was a bonus, perfect location for access to wineries, breweries and great food. Quiet location, enjoyed the pool and loved the stained glass windows. Our host was easy to communicate with.

Mel and Craig were great hosts who communicated excellently throughout our experience with them, both before and during our stay. The place was very clean with clear and relevant instructions and local recommendations provided for our stay. I would recommend Mel and Craig as hosts for anyone considering them.

The accommodation was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was too cold to use the pool, but there was a cosy combustion fire with wood on site to keep us warm. Everything was lovely (even the millipedes haha), thank you. 🙂

Mel and Craig’s place was a lovely getaway for the long weekend.

Had a wonderful time during our stay. The location was central and a short walk away from some lovely wineries. Definitely hoping to return again in future.

Mel’s place was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. I was welcomed with a fridge of a hot breakfast provisions, milk, cereal and juice, plus a coffee machine. The loft had the most comfortable bed and the bathroom had beautiful toiletries for use. I never used the pool during my stay, but it is an added bonus on those warm days. Mel was responsive at all times and left local suggestions which I utilised during my stay. A definite must stay if you are in the McLaren Flat region.

The accommodation was perfect for a weekend away. Beautiful surroundings, sparkling clean. Responsive and friendly host, would love to come back for a cosy winter weekend.

Mels little Church was gorgeous. Very clean, beautifully fitted out with everything you needed. Great breakfast in the room. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous place to stay, we attended a wedding in the area and stayed 2 nights. Loved having the pool and there are 3 cottages to choose from so we were able to have our relatives stay next door.Great art installations nearby, very quiet, the bed is so comfortable. Very spacious and would certainly stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Chapel. The location was perfect for exploring the area on our e-bikes and having the pool to jump into at the end of the day was the best! Loved sunset with a wine up the hill sitting in the Adirondack chairs. Perfect way to end the day!

Mel’s place is fantastic! I’ve stayed there before, second stay now and will hopefully get to stay again! The chapel has a private pool which we love. The beautiful forest to explore and great location. Mel was very accomodating for us! Thanks Mel ☺️

This was our second stay at The Chapel, and we loved it just as much as the first. The space is cosy and beautifully set up, and the pool is a real highlight in the hot weather. Communication from Mel was excellent throughout. We would happily stay again.

We really loved our stay in The Chapel. It was so clean and tidy, inside and out. It was a wonderful mix of authentic, quirky and modern where it mattered. The chapel was lovely. Exactly as described and so cosy. Easy check in instructions and not needing a key was excellent. Having an included breakfast was awesome too. Our couple getaway was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. The location was great for local wineries, nice restaurants around and some lovely walks. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer so we can use the pool as the pool was too cold at this time of the year. Fully equiped kitchen and bathroom. Lovely soap too! Complementary breakfast was lovely and very yummy! The place was clean and tidy. Great stay! Thank you! ☺️

The Chapel is a beautiful cottage next to the woods and near lots of great wineries. Mel was a great host. We will definitely be coming back!

Check-in was super easy and everything we needed for a relaxing weekend was thoughtfully provided. The location is perfect, close to everything, yet peaceful and private. The house was beautifully set up, and a getaway that was needed.The fire was a great touch for cooler evenings, and overall, the place had everything we could have asked for. Highly recommend!

It was a perfect 2 night getaway. The location surrounded by so many wineries and distilleries. The pool was fabulous to come home to and wake up with. The Chapel itself is quite beautiful and laid out so well. We would love to return and recommend to anyone. Special call out to the breakfast provisions too!

We stayed in the chapel and it was a wonderful stay. We loved the loft bedroom, it was so cosy and super tempting to just throw our plans out of the window and relax! They provided breakfast goods which we enjoyed and the set up was great. The only thing i was a little bummed about is we didnt use the pool as much as we liked because it was too cold unfortunately! We tried our best to make use of it though.

The surroundings was lovely, a truly peaceful place to be in. The other two airbnbs on the property were being occupied but we didnt hear either of them throughout the stay.
A lot of our plans were scheduled around Mclaren Vale so it was perfect location to get to and from places. Super convenient location with shops just down the road and many drink and food options too.

Mel was great, she gave us a guide on not only about the airbnb but recommendations around the area as well that were helpful.

Would definitely recommend this place to someone and would visit again.

Beautiful little cottage in McLaren Vale. Pool looked lovely (though weather was too cold to swim during our stay). The app with instructions and recommendations was a standout, we used one of the recommended wine tours and were very impressed. Mel was very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Loved staying at the Chapel, very well appointed and we loved to pool to cool off after a long day of winery hopping!

The Chapel was absolutely stunning. We had such a great few nights there we even extended our stay! The views on the property at sunset was beautiful, and the welcome breakfast pack was a great touch. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway for our honeymoon. Will be recommending to everyone I know!

we enjoyed our stay at Mel's place. it was perfectly nestled in the heart of wine regions with everything a 5-10 min drive. right on the coast to vines bike trail which was a handy feature we liked. the private pool was lovely on hot Adelaide summer afternoons. would return.

I highly recommend staying here, it's in a beautiful location and right in the heart of the McLaren Vale. If we come back we would stay here again.

Mel's place was very clean, easy to find and it's self-check-in. It is a perfect place to stay for a couple and has everything you need.

I loved that we got breakfast on our arrival eggs, bacon and fresh bread! It is a nice touch.

The Chapel was perfect! So much attention to detail has gone into the space and it instantly feels warm and inviting. Such a unique space that is close to town and of course all the lovely wineries in the surrounds. Mel has also gone to the trouble of creating a helpful site for recommendations. Will have to come back again (perhaps when it's warm enough to use the pool).

We really loved our stay at the Chapel. The breakfast provisions were wonderful, bed was super comfy, and the wi-fi is really fantastic (which was great as we had to get some work done while away). Mel was extremely responsive when we needed things throughout our stay, and very helpful.

A lovely gift from our family to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. A slightly early check-in was a treat on the 40 degree day we arrived as we could jump in the gorgeous pool straight away! Great a/c, lovely breakfast provisions, comfy bed and our own private and tranquil pine forest to walk through (not to mention fabulous food and wine at the nearby Salopian Inn and Beach Road Wines) made for a wonderful two days away. A really special little place, felt right at home. Loved the local items left for our breakfast and the opportunity for a dip in the pool. Comfortable bed, great shower, all the basics you need in the little kitchen. Very neat, clean and tastefully decorated. Great location close to town and wineries.

Bella Cosa is in the heart of Mclaren Flat and an easy 3k drive into Mclaren Vale town. We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Chapel. It is quaint and private, ideal for couples.
